The Let’s Hear It Vancouver JUNO Host Committee Education Team has been actively working with educators and students throughout the 2024-2025 school year to support career education and learning opportunities about BC’s vibrant music industry.

MUSIC INDUSTRY CAREER PATHWAYS PANEL DISCUSSIONS

The Music Career Pathways panel discussions supported teachers, students, and families in learning about various career entry ways and opportunities in to the music industry. With stops at schools in Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, and Kamloops, panels of local industry professionals shared their expertise, advice, and career journeys.

BC's largest professional development conference for music education and career education also featured curated panels to help educators build capacity and knowledge and support students' curiosities about employment and/or engagement with music beyond high school.

These events are being produced in collaboration with educators and industry leaders in each community.

JOB SHADOWING

Further to these educational panels, a group of lucky secondary students will have the opportunity to job shadow during JUNO Week in a variety of positions including production, hair and makeup, marketing and catering.
